Long press on home screen does nothing

Is this something related to the update that came out shortly after the phone launched. I seem to remember being able to long press, then a box would pop up to allow me to set Moto Widgets, Android Widgets, Wallpapers, etc. Now when I do it, it vibrates like it should, but no box of options appears. I even powered the phone off and on, still no luck.

Admittedly this could be something that disappeared a while ago and I'm just now realizing it since I don't use it often, but it's rather frustrating.

I just switched back to blurhome from ADW and checked - it's still there and still functions. Have you tried an alternate launcher?

I have not installed any alternate launchers, that's what's really puzzling me.

Guess I'll wait for the next OTA update and hope it fixes it

Have you tried a factory reset? If it still doesn't fix, id suggest getting rsdlite and the .sbf file and reflash the software.

before you go through the entire process of factory reset (and lose all your data) call *228 and choose option 1 for programming. I am amazed at how many issues it has cured for me. Follow the call with a battery pull.

This is what Verizon would have you do as well.
