I have a fascinate but am looking at getting a dinc2 for my wife. It seems from everything I've read, the dinc2 has great battery life, which she will need. The one thing I'm concerned about is the gps. I don't see too many people talking about it, maybe that is a good thing. Are there any more things that we should be aware of before we buy.
Thanks, Bob

The GPS isn't nearly instant like it was on the OG Dinc, and takes a couple of minutes to lock in. But I've noticed the same thing, only worse on the Droid Charge. Once it locks though, it works great.

I have had my Dinc2 for a whole week so let me chime in :)

Coming from BB, overall I love Android and the phone.

GPS was rough the first day, but now it locks pretty quickly, maybe 30 seconds or less on average, it's just not instant.

As far as battery, I have no idea how some people on here are getting such amazing battery life. Either they dont touch their phone all day or mine is defective. I have nearly all features on my phone turned off and struggle to make it to the end of the day with moderate use. The battery is the only reason I am considering returning this phone, and if I keep it an extended battery will be needed, at least for me. Keep in mind I am coming from BB, so maybe for an Android the battery life is great, just to me, it's pretty poor.

Thanks for the replys. I just wanted to know if it was better than my fasinate. Sometimes it takes forever to lock in and sometimes it won't without doing a *228 1. Also wanted to know if there is any other quirks to be concerned about
Thanks again

GPS on my DINC2 locks in within about 10 seconds even when I'm on the 4th floor of the above ground parking garage with several floors of cement above me (but open sides).

I use it every day on my 45 mile commute to watch traffic.
