can someone who is switching please help me out with an account for the $25 plan? I was on the $45 plan with 1200 minutes and unlimited data but I am lately going through some dire straits and need to make cuts and to save only $10 while sacrificing so much sucks (seriously only one-quarter of the minutes for $10 less? What a ripoff!) I wanted to switch to the $25 plan but now it seems I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I will take over the account and all payment.

you can try the 35 plan one .. or you can set up your phone to set up internet calls... or you can sell your phone and get a simple phone so you can get the pay per minute plan..

your only choice now is the 35$ plan. accept it, live on it until you get yourself back on your feet. use google voice and wifi calling for long conversations while your near home wifi or something

Maybe Republic Wireless would be a good solution for you at $19 a month, though you will have to spend $99 for the phone. Might be less burden to switch to the $35 plan.

There is also PayLo, $20 for 400 minutes. Pick up a Mantra on ebay for 20 bucks.

well your SOL, virgin mobile will be capping data soon becuase of users like you. if your seriously going to keep using it like that, your best option is the 35$ plan. might as well use the data until its capped like all the rest right.

most of my internet browsing is done at work I just use it to update my facebook and check a few websites on my tablet (only because of the bigger screen) once in a while nothing really serious. So please don't profile me as being a data-hog because I am not.

You could still use Google Voice/GrooVeIP over your data connection if you get decent enough service.

Otherwise if you're really looking to cut costs you could look into those government-supported cell phones (you know the discount ones where they give you a phone and so many minutes and what not for free).

Even though the UN declared access to the internet a human right, no one said you had to have access to it 24/7. I didn't have internet for two years, and I just made a trip to my local library twice a day (once after I got out of high school, once just before they closed) to check my stuff.

your certainly not worse off than me, i can tell you that. my phone is my only possession while im in hard times. im trying to pay major bills and stuff without any kind of work coming in and i can still afford my phone.

if you really truly cant afford it. then you can do without a phone, i know i can go without a phone if need be

I'm in the same boat as you, and I'm thinking the same thing concerning the OP. I had to sell my laptop to pay bills.
