so I'm looking for an app that will let me clear app caches en masse on two different android tablets, but the big names want either a monthly or yearly sub and frankly I dont have that kind of money.

I'm looking for something that is either A, free, or B, one time pay fee, and doesn't come round looking for more money later.

it needs to work on both a samsung galaxy tab a 8.0(sm-t290) and a 2019 amazon fire hd 10 tablet, both running the most recent OS versions for each device.

What version of Android is the Tab A running? It used to be that you could go to Settings>Storage, then tap the Cached Data section to bring up an option to clear it all (but that option went away at some point -- just not sure which version of Android got rid of it).

the Tab A is running android 11(though I'm hopeful it'll see 12...not fond of some of the performance-or lack thereof- with 11).

I'm pretty sure the native way of clearing the cache was no longer available in Android 11. What about on the Fire tablet? Can you go to the equivalent Settings>Storage menu there and tap a Cached Data category?

The app description suggests it does, but I haven't tried it myself. It's free, and from a reputable company, so worth a try.
