Looking for good flight simulator

Hi there!

Can you share ideas about good flight simulator? I mean aircraft rather than a fighter like F-16.
I checked some free games but most of them are poor.

If you're talking about straight-up flight simulators, try FSX or Microsoft Flight Simulator.

If you want fighting, try Tom Clancy's HAWX and HAWX 2.

If you want space flight and fighting try Descent: Freepsace the Great War and Freespace 2, Freelancer, Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

I really liked the Freespace games because you could dock with ships, call in support and reinforcement, command other ships and stuff. Also you can try Battlezone 2.

Some of these games are older and are now free or open source, so people have modified and upgraded the graphics.
