looking for ideas on advertisement

hi all

my husband is a new app developer he has some apps on the play store, i am his advertiser and i was wondering if you have any advice on promoting and advertising these apps

starting of somewhere like AC is a good platform to go on. Start a new post with some links to his apps and let people try them out - word of mouth should get the apps noticed.

Yep..for my last app I posted on a few forums last year. Eventually got a feature on Yahoo and Life Hacker they must have picked up on my app I certainly didn't contact them, even some overseas local newspaper published an article.

I did write to about 50 or so app review sites.

About 2 of them wrote back to me and published exactly what i sent them rather than writing their own article.
About 5 of them said they needed payments to proceed with a review. I decided not to proceed.
1 of them said they could only review my app if their 500 or so active members could get a free version of my without ads.

If you have many apps, include links within these apps to your other apps. This way your users can find your other apps.

Google AdWords may help if you are not too tight on funds. After a couple of iterations (analyzing the campaign results and adjusting the ads) you may get 1 instal for 10 cents. Though, probably it also depends on the app and existing competition in its category.
