Looking for opinions... Have Note 3 (VZW) and an upgrade available. Should I get the G3? Or wait?

I've searched through all the threads here and have seen some similar questions but I just wanted to ask myself also. I am on Verizon and have a Note 3 which I like but I am very intrigued by the G3. I would like a little bit smaller of a phone and the knock on feature looks to be amazing. I am a little concerned that battery life may not be as good with the G3 and from what I've read the auto brightness isn't too good for the G3.

A few issues I have with the Note 3... the signal is pretty weak most of the time. Not sure if the G3 has a better antenna/radio. I'm a little tired of the size, and I'm super tired of TouchWiz even with Nova.

For reference on a workday (where my signal is terrible) I get about 3 and a half hours of screen on time with about 16-18 hours off charger. At home with WiFi I get about 6 hours SoT with 18 hours off charger.

So I have an upgrade available now and another upgrade that will be available in June 2015. I could potentially get the G3 and the G4 but if the G3 may not be better than the Note 3 I would probably just wait for the G4.

So has anyone on Verizon made this switch? If so, what are your opinions? Is the battery life comparable? Does the auto brightnes actually sick on the G3? (it works great on the Note)

tldr; My 3 options:

-Keep Note 3, wait for G4
-Get G3, sell Note 3
-Get G3 now, sell Note 3, and get G4 later

Thanks.

I come from the note3 on verzion. I have to say I thought about goin back to get my note3 but after one day of full use of the g3 I forgot all about that n3. I had many of the same problems you are/were having and even got a replacement and it too did the same thing. The n4 really didn't excite me much and that right there really made my decision to get the g3. And I love it!!!!!

I got the G3 and sold my note 3. Both on Verizon. Same issue, signal was terrible, G3 has been unbelievably better. I didn't mind the size of the note 3, but the G3 certainly fits nicer in the hand. Auto brightness has been fine for me. The screen isn't over saturated like the note 3, therefore making it appear duller when you have them side by side. I've been very happy with the switch to the G3, don't miss my note 3 at all

I had my phone stolen, and had to get a replacement quick as I spend a considerable time away from home for work. I looked at the note 3, and at the time the g3 had just been released. The footprint of the phone felt small for such a big screen! To say the phone is small would be ridiculous, but it felt significantly smaller than the Note 3.

The button placement on the back of the phone is pure genius. The knock on feature is also very useful and you don't wear out the physical buttons. Screen is excellent, and auto brightness works great for me. Call quality has also been good for me, but I never had any problems in that area with previous phones.
All in all, I think the g3 is an excellent device, and a worthy upgrade to the Note 3. You won't be disappointed. The only device that will pique my interest now is the g4!😉

^^^Agree with you about the rear power button. LG were right IMO, this is the most natural position for it and you soon get used to it.
