Looking into buying an OnePlus 3T.

I've got a nexus 6p and nexus 6 which are both 1440p. It isn't fuzzy. It's also much brighter than either of those screens.

I wasn't the one who said it was fuzzy! I went from op3 to 6p and the screen is quite a bit better on the 6p, everything else is better on op3. The op3t for the price is no brainer if you ask me.

My6p screen is pretty dim. I wasn't saying you were the one who stated it was fuzzy. I was just reiterating why I responded in the first place. Regardless...Cheers let's all enjoy the great options we have

Everyone has been so helpful... I may have the money to get a pixel XL. But I'd rather the 3T

The screen clarity is not that great. For me the text is not sharp enough for a phone of today's expectations. I use a iPhone 6S and a Note 5 then took one look at the OP3 and felt like I needed glasses because the text was fuzzy on the screen. I returned it because of it.

Either you have visual acuity that's better than most of us... or you had a defective unit.

Being quite nearsighted, I can focus on the screen from 2 to 3 inches away without my corrective lenses. Yes, I can see the individual pixels. But I have no hint of fuzziness on text or any part of the screen. So I really have to wonder if maybe the unit you had was defective.

The OnePlus is one of those all-around great devices that you can get at an absurdly inexpensive price. I've seen so many satisfied users and owners on here - I've really not seen anything negative in my travels. And if I have, it's on a 1-50 ratio (ie, one negative post for every fifty good ones - that's how high the odds are that users love this phone, it seems!). I definitely suggest looking into it. It's a wonderful device. I have the Honor 8 and since having this phone and also seeing the OnePlus line, I don't think I'll ever buy a flagship overpriced phone again. :)

Thanks for all your replies. I pulled the trigger on a grey 128gb OPO3t on Friday. Hoping to have it tomorrow. Going to install 7.0 straight away and do a factory reset before installing apps and setting the device i to my liking.

How wonderful! Congratulations, and Happy Phone Week! Let us know how you like it when it arrives - hopefully sooner than Friday! :)

Where did you order from?

Agreed, also most "Budget flagships" are dev community friendly and thats a huge thing I look for when it comes to the stress that is android fragmentation. I have a carrier locked GS7 and we still don't have the final Nougat build

I will be doing the same in a few weeks. I've seen so many videos and done so much reading on it and I can't believe I even allowed myself to buy my GS7...The only upside to it is Samsung pay but i could buy a gear s3 for that

It would be nice if that was the case. I love everything else about the phone aside from the loose power and volume buttons. They would jingle if you shook the phone.

I've never seen a OnePlus out in the wild but I'd love to get my hands on one. The company ethos is great (they actually listen to customers) and the 3T can realistically be bought sim free by most people. I can't help think most consumers just haven't heard of them.

Here we go, this guy found exactly my issue and he tried two phones:

I guess I'll wait for a better display.

Got the phone yesterday. So far very impressed and after coming from a 6P. It's easy faster that the 6P. It's almost like stock android in its UI. And I enjoy the extra ability to customise. The speaker is also eat better than I thought it would be., plus a big improvement in battery life.
I've no loose buttons and I find the screen comparable to the 6P but a lot brighter.

Since people seem to be getting the vapors about the "poor screen quality" on the OnePlus 3 or 3T, I thought I'd post a couple of photos of my OnePlus 3 screen with the brightness at max taken with my Canon T2i (EOS 550D). I did not do any retouching other than automatic brightness and rotation. Photos were taken indoors in a home office illuminated by two open windows and a ceiling fan light.

Note in the second photo there are two specs of dust, a dog hair, and two horizontal lines of distortion. The two lines are cuts in the screen protector that comes with this phone. I don't have anything good to say about that protector and it has already started to peel in the corner, despite the phone being in a case. :)

Just curious if that is an example of how bad the screen is or how good?

I have to say it looks pretty darn good to me and I have no clue why some take issue with it being fuzzy. If that's fuzzy, please show me something sharp in comparison!
