Hello , i am a proud Droid X owner. My wife is using my old S2 . Her Upgrade date is in March . But i want to buy her a Phone now. I would like to get her a Droid X, HTC incredible , Samsung Fascinate , or Droid 2 . Would someone be willing to part ways with a phone your not using , or if you just need extra cash . I cant see myself paying 400-500 cash money on phone . So if you have a phone you want to sell under 400 please PM me or email me . thank you very much . LB

Be careful on Craigslist.

In my town thats an easy way to get a stolen/lost phone or robbed. This is not a dig on Craigslist, its a warning about people who use Craigslist to unload stolen goods or to rob folks.

Recently, in my area, police were recovering caches of stolen items from sellers on Craigslist - especially iPhones.

If you schedule a purchase from Craigslist, meet in a busy public place like Barnes n Noble - inside. NEVER meet in a parking lot or neighborhood. I told a female friend of mine to schedule the purchase of a GPS device for her car in our city hall across from the police kiosk. When she arranged the sale, the guy never showed and did not return messages she left on his voice mail.

yeah no thanks on craigslist . I have ZERO CONFIDENCE in that site. And buying off ebay is also pretty scary to me . Thing is im scared i would be sold a phone with a locked ESN and the phone would be useless. But hopefully someone will come along and have a extra phone to sale for 300

You know back when I was using a Blackberry, a request like this would have created several quick answers of offers to sell as someone was always looking for a way to upgrade.

I find it kind of nice that no one has jumped on the offer and it's a pretty good offer in my book. I will offer a hardy good luck and maybe someone will want to upgrade to something else and you'll get that phone for your wife. As for me, I'm keeping my DX thank you very much!

Gee, at Verizon, the Droid X is $299 and if you have the new every two, you get a hundred dollar rebate. $299 versus $199 doesn't sound like a big deal. It's very small money to pay to get away from the BB, which I came from.

This is not the marketplace.
