Just got the "wrong pin" bug on my Pixel C. So I'm just gonna get rid of it.

I know I need to do a factory reset, but do I also need to do the "secure" or "erase" functions from Android Device Manager (https://www.google.com/android/find?u=0)? Or will just the factory reset be enough?

Thanks!

Factory reset is sufficient.

I had the pin bug but didn't know that it was a known issue. A factory reset from recovery fixed it for me.

Nope, found out the hard way, factory reset is NOT sufficient.

Buyer got hit with "factory reset protection," which I did not know was a thing, and returned it to me. I had to refund and am now out shipping both ways.

So, I guess I need to know is there a way to reset my Pixel C and sell it so the buyer can activate it without FRP kicking in?

Please note I'm NOT asking how to bypass FRP on a tablet that has been reset. I'm asking how to reset MY OWN TABLET so whoever buys it from me won't get hit with FRP in the first place.

Thanks.

Yep, always have to remember to remove your Google account before doing the factory reset. Otherwise, you'll have an irate buyer!:)
