Looking to switch from XS Max to S10+

+1 on this. The content is out there and available, you just need to get used to a different workflow. It won’t be easy but it’s worth it.

Managing music and media content is the biggest reason I stayed away from iOS back in the day. Between that and the ability to customize the look and feel and the way I interact with the phone... I know I made the right choice.

Best of luck.

Totally agree! I regularly got back and forth from Apple to Android. I use Google Photos which syncs all of my photos from the two platforms, Movies Anywhere...which gives me all my purchased movies across both platforms and Microsoft Onedrive as my cloud drive. Keeps me very platform agnostic.

only thing that I can't keep sync'd is text messages. And that is all about iMessage. I have learned to deal with it, but it would be great if the US market was more accepting of WhatsApp, it would solve that problem. But not too bad of issue to have the best of both worlds :-)

Good luck!

I have had iPhones since they first launched on Verizon with the iPhone 4. I worked for a franchise so I switch phones frequently, but always had a thing for apple. After speaking to my cousin about how Apple treats people at the "genius" bar I decided Ive had enough of the price gouging of Apple and they dont offer great customer service. I switched to the s10+ and love it. A lot less heavier than the XS Max I had. The only thing I miss is the iMessage, but its ok without it. I know they don't care that they lost a customer, but it felt like it was the right move for me. Enjoy your new phone!

I’m about to make the jump, I think. Trying to figure out what I need to transfer across and how to do it.

Thing I was surprised about when switching from iPhone to Samsung a couple of years ago was how easy it was. Unlike iPhone -> iPhone which is complicated and usually requires an iCloud backup (in which case 5GB is not even close to enough to transfer everything) Samsung simply does it via an app (Smart Switch) which you download on both phones, choose which one is sending/receiving, connect them both via Wi-fi and start the transfer.
