So right now I have a MyTouch 4G which has seen better days. Battery is screwy and I'm just over it. I'm in range for an upgrade and saw that Target and Walmart are having sales on the GS3 and was planning on heading over to get one when I came on here and saw the issues with signals. I live in LA (the valley) and right now have no problem with the MT4G. My phone is also my work phone so I can't have shotty signals...is it really that bad? My other option was buying the Galaxy Nexus from the play store.

Thanks :)

You could also use wifi calling if your not our and about to much. Personally, T-Mobile doesnt exactly provide the best coverage. But truely unlimited 4H is great! And the phone is amzing too. Go with a Gs3

I had a MT4G before the S3. It worked great and while T-Mobile's coverage is not the best, at least it worked in my office. I have no reception in my office with the S3. I have called T-Mobile and had the device reset including getting a new device. None of that has helped. I'd suggest to you to get the phone and try for 13 1/2 days. If it doesn't work for you then just return it. The Nexus is cheaper out of contract ;)

Check to see if they have 4G coverage in your city. If not then go with Verizon no matter what phone you get. My personal phone is a S3 with TMO due to price and i live in Northen VA with 4G coverage. The "Goverment" issues me a BB with Verizon for a reason. The signal coverage with VZ is the best you can ever get. TMO is for play and VZ is for work.

Depends on where you are.

It's spots here in Atlanta where t mobile gets a full signal and Verizon gets nothing

I'm in L.A. and before that Orlando and never had any issues with a poor tmo signal, which is why the S3 makes me nervous. I think I am going to check it out for the two weeks or whatever and bring it back if it doesn't work. Then I'll move onto to the Galaxy Nexus.

Well I got the phone and so far everything is fine at my house and at work (which is about 45 minutes north of LA proper and not considered a metro area). The bars were a little low when I was walking around Target, but I was updating on twitter just fine. I'm not sure about wifi yet because the wifi at my house sucks and its the only place I've been so far that has it.
