I haven't used any of the locator apps mentioned, but wanted to point out that you can do SMS over wifi with google voice and groove ip. It seems to work like regular SMS on my android phone, so it's worth a try, if an app depends on SMS. You may also have to set up your google mail app, I'm not sure about that, I know I get SMS sent to my google voice number in both my mail app and also in the google voice app.There's an app called "Seek Droid" that will provide some locator abilities. The problem with the Tab is it doesn't do SMS messages (at least the WiFi one) and many of these security apps depend on them. I have tested Seek Droid and it will work sometimes. You have to have WiFi on for it to work. For 99 cents, its worth it I guess.
