Looks like case manufacturers are getting the blanks now. Let's go!!!

I am so very excited about this phone. I am not a fan of the curved screen, but it's like Google heard my constant whining about the cameras and battery.

Glad to see they ditched the on the back fingerprint scanner. Lets hope face unlock is also added.

No, no. I like the rear fps. It's very responsive and natural to use when the phone is picked up. Your finger knows exactly where to go. Front fps has been buggy in other phones and is a bit more complicated to use when picking the phone up. No fps at all is a dealbreaker for me.

I've used both types and love both but I still think I prefer the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. But as you say, no fingerprint sensor whatsoever is a dealbreaker for me, as well. That's exactly why I didn't jump on the Pixel 4.

Coming from the 3XL to the S20FE, I can say both are very responsive and while I do prefer the back, the front is something you'll get used to I believe. My S20FE is rather flawless w/ the fingerprint sensor.

That "possible" camera hump is another NO for me. I can see it getting hung up in my back pocket or even my shirt pocket. Keep it sleek! Also, might be a problem in my truck. There is a groove in the front of the console that was designed for a tablet, but a phone but my 4XL fits in perfectly, this type of camel hump could cause problems.

Never having had a phone with a curved screen, and having had (and continue to want to have) a screen protector - can they be had for curved screens?

They can, though less popular phones tend not to get good glass screen protectors. Film protection is sometimes all you can get that is any good.

Whitestone Dome made an exceptional SP that fit flawlessly to my Pixel 3 XL, though that only had very slight curvature. Sadly, after producing them for the 3 and 3 XL, they didn't continue forward with the 4 or 5 series, nor any of the 'a' variants, so my hopes aren't terribly high - though if Google is going to putting as much into marketing expense as some reports have suggested, they're not extinguished, either.
