Yeah man click the source link at the top right of the gallery and there's a video of hands on with it. Oddly, T-Mobile's version was kept under glass.

T-mobile & at&t versions looks to have no led.
It must be a Sprint Epic thing

Oh, and one more cherry on top-- The Epic 4G bucks the trend with an LED notification light. A welcome addition to this new crop from Samsung.

Unexpected and totally awesome. So there WAS something that would surprise me today afterall.

Total plus for sure. So bummed that it is thicker than iPhone 4 and releasing a week later than expected. Once it's in my pocket it will make up for it though.
