I had to return my first one.
But I wasn't mad. I know that there is always a chance I could get a defective one

The kindle fire was only $199 and as we all know it was so cheap and defective they didn't sell hardly any of them, however if you pay full unsubsidized pricing of around $600 for a phone they are problem free.
I don't care what kind of phone you have, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.
What was the defect? Screen not flush?

Apple has been having issues with their damn logic boards for as long as I can remember. Went down this mess with them with two different laptops: orignal purchase and the replacement laptop. I did not have one as nice as you did/do, I had the iBook, but man talk about issues and of course apple's stance, "you must be using it wrong", Walnut Creek Store "genius" actually said that to me.
And BTW. My Nexus 7 is flaw free, except for one dead pixel. Its only seen on white screens and I don't think it's enough to return itdoesn't bother me very much.
That would drive me crazy. Once I see something like that it's all I can look at. I would have to try to return it.
Same here.. I wouldn't be able to enjoy it fully knowing that pixel is just sitting there... Dead.. Laughing at me

Freaky, the pixel is dead, but still laughing
I suspect it is only playing dead, and is really a rogue apple pixel, planted there to annoy android users
Or maybe even a Amazon fire pixel...ready to get other pixels to protest and display only amazon products
I have wayyy too much time to think..maybe because my nexus is still not here![]()

I see a line of pixels and they're all painted black.Thats how mine started out, then it became a line of dead pixels
So I just picked mine up from Staples here in Toronto and I LOVE it. First Android device, and I may be a convert after about 1 hour.
1 MAJOR problem though... my screen seems to have bright/dark spots down the left hand side... I think it is the LCD lighting and maybe the screen not being fastened down enough. Its rather noticeable, especially the upper left corner where the screen gets dark.
Does anyone else have this? Should I return/exchange?
Thanks....

Here is a picture... taken with my iPhone but you can pretty clearly see the bright and dark 'waves' along the left hand side (which for some reason is the bottom - the forum is rotating it I think..) ...![]()
