So I'm sitting at work trying to download my usual podcasts, and I'm having a terrible time getting them to download fully, if at all. Then I start noticing that after letting the phone sleep for a minute or so, that's when it terminates the connection. Related? No clue. There are no radio limiting apps installed, to my knowledge, at this time.
What I'm getting this morning is a loss of 3G connectivity in a place where it has never been in an issue. it's bumping down to the 1x icon and moving at a speed reminiscent of my old t-mo original sidekick... It's killing me.
I tried updating the PRL several times but it timed out and said it couldn't be done. Finally it went through but it is still dropping 3G. I'm not sure how much the PRL has to do with the data connection, but I gave it a shot anyway. The reception for phone antenna has been normal and I've not seen any significant drop or loss there.
Could it be just a bad day for Sprint and they're having troubles with the data side of the house? I thought that too but my buddy with an EVO a couple cubes away is doing just fine. Any thoughts?
EDIT: Now it's getting hung up while attempting to update the profile as well. Anytime I try to open an app the access the data connection, it drops connectivity to 1x or just completely losses data all together.
Is this worth calling customer service over? Since it would be the first time calling them since I rooted, will they be able to tell that I'm not stock?
