Anybody tried dialing #228 to update roaming capabilities?
Sent from my Astounding ReZound
All Verizon 4G phones have been having problems for the past couple of weeks or so. I've talked to tech support numerous times and they are still clueless as to what's going on. I've also tried a new SIM and phone and neither have helped.
On a side note, dialing *228 will not fry your SIM card or in any way damage your phone. Not sure why anybody would do it since it's common knowledge that 4G devices do not use *228 for updating.
Ok so I'm still having this issue with the data completely disappearing. Doing the data roaming was a temporary fix, I called verizon and they saying it maybe a defective device. But what about all the other. Android 4G phones having the same issue? Now is every one else calling Verizon and letting them know this is going on or are we just ranting about it on the Internet? Has anyone found a fix? Thanks in advance :thumbup:

I already had the Sim card replaced and didn't change a thing.weird thing is that all 4 smartphones on my account are having similar issues (all 4G phones).I lost all data on my Rezound yesterday. I'm in FL. I could text and call with it and WiFi worked fine, but no 3 or 4g. I did call Verizon and they put it a trouble ticket. They also sent me a new SIM card in case that's the problem. I reactivated my Droid X while I wait for my SIM card to arrive tomorrow. No data issue on my X which is 3g. I have my fingers crossed that the SIM card is the issue with my Rezound. I don't want to have to replace the whole phone.
