Losing audio during phone conversation

I have been having an intermittent problem where the volume decreases to the point that I can't hear the person I am speaking with and then returns to the original volume during a phone conversation. I have to hang up and call the person back to fix this problem. I don't listen to music on the phone very often so I don't know whether that is effected too. Is anybody else having this problem? I have not upgraded to 4.3 yet, so this has nothing to do with the Android update. Thank you

If it's something you only notice on a phone call, I'd call Sprint and describe the problem to them. Sounds like a network issue.

Thank you for replying. It is possible, but in most cases, the person that I was talking with was also on the Sprint network and was not having these problems. I was thinking about bringing it to Best Buy, with whom I insured it, but the problem is intermittent and cannon be replicated by any actions that I take. I will contact Sprint and HTC to see if they know anything about this. Thanks again.
