Losing data connection since mr2 update

I finally worked up the ambition to do the sim card and battery pull last night. Lost data a couple of times but app didn't jam as before and data returned on its own without a reset.

This pretty much mirrors our experience with the wife's phone, I think we have solved our problem...

The VZ tech I've been working with has really been great, he's going to call me back Friday to confirm that all is well.

I was looking at data use on "My Verizon", 29.379 GB in 18 days for my phone, wow!

Lol. Ya, me too. Good thing we have unlimited data. I'm not delighted to ever lose data but as long as it reconnects fairly quickly on its own I can live with it. I understand gps does the same thing btw.

Watching a movie on MaxGo this morning added 2.5GB, now I'm up to 32.3 with 11 days to go.

I'm going to cancel my unlimited data netbook account along with the wife's 5GB Tab account, since the HS is finally working on her phone. Then I can cancel our home DSL line.

That should save us about $100/mo, thanks VZ

Now if I had Dish Network instead of Direct TV I could stream my programming wherever I am, may have to make a change there

I used the hot spot to watch MaxGo on my 17" Dell 1745 multimedia laptop. I have watched a lot of HBOGO on my TB, went through 60 episodes of The Wire since I got the TB. I'm now trying to get DirecTV2PC to work on the Dell

My TB has unlimited data on the phone and on the hot spot/tether, I don't know anything about being rooted however.

Sure. Rooting just allows you access to the free wifi tethering apps that Verizon wants to block. You always have access to Verizon's paid service.
