Losing display when restarting phone!!! Help!!!

After I flash a ROM successfully and have it running for a bit, if I try to restart my phone normally when it turns back on it has a completely empty home screen. This has happened with several ROMs now such as several versions of KingsRom and the most recent is Warm TwoPointTwo. I use Titanium Backup to restore all my files from before, is there something I'm doing wrong because it doesn't seem like many other people have this problem.

Are you wiping everything 3xs? Before any flashing wipe 3xs on each cache, dalvik, data, system, boot, and battery stats! Leave all others alone. See if that helps
