I searched for a solution for this but no other threads resembled my problem. I have everything from my phone backed up on my computer because I just flashed new rom. I somehow didn't copy the file with all my contacts in it onto my phone. Which file is this? Hopefully I can just copy and paste it and get everything back.

Thanks

Brodie

This is a shot in the dark, but try copying back to your phone "Contacts.apk" and "ContactsProvider.apk" to "/system/app". Also backup the apks that are already on your phone in case anything goes funky.

I figured out the problem. It has something to do with Titanium Backup. After I flashed a new rom I used the "Restore missing apps + all system data" option. This restored everything but also cause an operation error. Something about com.Android.phone having to be forced closed. I don't remember the exact verb-age.

I flashed the rom again but this time I used the "Restore Missing Apps with Data" option. This replaced all my apps but no contacts. So I went into the the Titanium Backup folder I saved on my computer searched "contacts" and it found several files. I copied them then I removed all the files from the Titanium Backup folder on my phone. I pasted the "contacts" files into the Titanium Backup folder and rebooted.

Then I ran Titanium Backup and chose the "Restore missing apps + all system data" option knowing that the only files in the folder were the "contacts" files I put in there earlier. After Titanium Backup was finished all my contacts restored. I tried the same process to recover old text messages but it didn't work. I am probably missing something but it worked great for my contacts.
