Lost Folders

My wife is bad about trying to swipe a homescreen and accidentally dragging a folder off one of the homesreens. Where does this folder go an is it recoverable? I have Dumpster installed and it
doesn't show up in there and it is not showing up on another screen.

i found out if something is "deleted" it goes to the Dumpster but if dragged off to the trash can icon it
doesn't end up in the Dumpster. Still wonder if there is an easy way to recover something without using
a 3rd party app.
