Lost gallery/music flashing new rom

Was running Liquid Smooth v2.0 Beta 1. Flashed Beta 2 and lost the function of the Gallery and Music. Everything is still on the "SD" card but doesen't come up through the apps. This problem doesn't seem ROM specific from what I've read but my brain hurts. I'm a clean flasher and have been through all my backups all the way to stock with no positive results. Anybody?

Hey, it may have something to do with Clockwork Recovery if that's what you're using. Check the Google Play for an update, however, I'm not sure that will bring back your media :'(

Yea, this issue started happening yesterday. I've seen it reported by people running AOKP and CM10. I saw someone mention that a .nomedia file was created on the sdcard for some reason, causing your media to not show up in the Gallery app. I haven't really looked into it though since I haven't been affected by it.

Found a manual fix but Rom Manager has alredy been updated to fix the issue. So far so good. Thanks all.

i found the fix here guys. make sure you use an explorer such as ES Explorer to search for every .nomedia file on the sdcard and delete it. make sure you uninstall rom manager as well. as soon as every one of those files is deleted. do a clean wipe using recovery and you should have your pictures and music pop up. If you try just to delete the files and reboot, it will not work.

1. delete .nomedia files
2. uninstall rom manager
3. clean wipe (recovery), reinstall rom.
4. everything should populate

It definitely is attributed to Rom Manager I can say that.

Do not delete all .nomedia files. Only the one that may have been created at the roof of internal storage/SD.

This is what you do to fix. Update ROM Manager, delete .nomedia at root of SD, clear data for media storage under manage applications, reboot phone, wait ten minutes after rebooting.
