Lost Home screens

In trying to fix a problem with AT A GLANCE . I lost all my HOME SCREENS. The apps are still there. How do I restore the icons. Thanks.
The situation has gone from bad to worse. I only have the phone and camera icons visible. I somehow found a way to see if I still have all the programs and I do. I tried the tips that I got from the web to recreate the icons and none worked. Please heeelpppp

It wasn't pretty. I had to reinstall an app from the Play store to restore all the icons of the apps so that they are visible after a swipe up. From there, I just slid the icons to their original position on my HOME screens to the best of my memory..it would have been easier if I had taken a screen shot of the screens before I screwed everything up.

Which reminds me to refresh my screenshots in case I, too, lose stuff. I've also occasionally used a screen recorder to capture and scroll through the screens.
