I think this happened after ICS. Watched a Netflix movie with ear buds and they worked fine. No media sound without them. Ringer and nots work fine. Anyone else have this problem? In settings, sounds, wired stereo, it says speakers connected.

I have the same problem and so do multiple people. Motorola is aware of the problem and working on a fix, this has been an ongoing discussion over on their forums.

You can restore media volume by simple plugging in headphones and turning on your music player and then unplug the headphones without turning off the music player and media sounds will be restored.

I have the same issue with jawbone jambox. It was working fine before ICS. Now I can't even use it. It works with my blackberry and my friends iphone. They need to get this fixed ! I have no work around.

Both my wife and I use a Jambox with our RAZR's on ICS and it works fine. Have you tried deleting the jambox from your phone and then syncing it again?

Power cycle usually not necessary. Just go to Settings->Sounds->Ringtones, and just select a few ringtones to hear them. It will "wake up" your sound. Still a bug, though--I have reported it to Google, as have others--hopefully it will be fixed in an upcoming update.

ive tried the above stuff and nothing seems to be working...had been working fine for a long time, and then went on a jog and the head phone jack wont work at all...also reported it to motorola
