Lost root after updating to 4.0.4

Using wugfresh to unlock then root the update. Now lost root. I saw the other threads about flashing the su404.zip. is there a way to manually run it? I use ROM mgr and doesn't seem to work.

A bit confused... why would you bother updating? Why not just use a 4.0.4 rom? Is there a difference? Not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious.

If you're still unlocked you can temp boot cwm thru fast boot with terminal (Mac) or command prompt, with the latest su.zip on your SD card and flash thru recovery.

Not everyone wants to flash a ROM. For those who just want the update with the latest radios, they update.
