Love affair with large screen phones (way back machine)

You wishing you would have got the regular 10 because its physically smaller but same screen size as the 8/9?
No, I thought the 10 would be the same size as the 8/9 and the 10+ would be bigger. Calling them the Note 10 and 10- would have been more accurate.

Love the phone (how could I not, the 8 was my favorite phone prior) but I was OK with it being a little bigger, and found the name to be misleading.

But the note 10+ is bigger than the Note 8/9/10 6.8" screen vs 6.3" screen. The plus also signifies, more RAM, storage, sd card slot, etc...

My 1st large screen phone was Note 1....
Now the biggest Note 10 + is my Fav...

I'm not disappointed in the phone itself at all. Just initially at the screen size. The difference in functional screen size seems negligible to me, after comparing it side-by-side with my 8 prior to trading it in.

The 10+ is roughly the same physical size as the 8, the 10 is definitely smaller.

Nokia 1520 with windows mobile os, pretty sure it was a 6" display......that camera and storage options were so far ahead of its time.......

Dell Streak 5, circa 2010. Ran original Android, then got updated to 2.2 Froyo.

Galaxy Nexus, then Note 2 which lead to me staying with Note line with Note 3, 4, two Note 7's, Note 8, Note 9, and now Note 10+. Love my Notes.

Physical size is not of importance. The screen size is. The Note 10+ has a much bigger screen.

First big Phone was the Note 2. Prior to that I was using the Droid line for personal and a Blackberry 9930 for work. I've gone on to upgrade to the latest Note each year. Some are bigger upgrades than others but it's the one phone I always feel like I need to have with me.

No but the bezel on the 8 is not very big so I think that the word "much" means very different things to you and I.

I do think the names were misleading. If they only came out with the Note 10, nobody would have been happy with that phone as the next in line from the 8 and 9... its really a '10 lite' - the plus is really just what you'd expect from the next gen note - slightly bigger screen, better resolution, overall improved specs.

Put the 10+ side by side with the 9 today. Screens are just about the same width, and the 10+ is about an eighth of an inch taller.
