Love this phone but think I got a bad one.

Oh yeah! It's definitely worth it! It's possible we got the runts of the litter. Take it back to Verizon or give tech support a call. Personally I'd rather spend an hour on the phone with tech support than the idiots at the store.

I hear ya. It's definitely one of those where you pick your poison...they'll get you one way or the other.

Sounds like I'll have to get back with my G4 family then. Thanks!

Well I can't help you decide the decision is yours. The touch thing is a little better on the replacement. I don't have to press on an app 3 times for it to recognize my touch. The tap twice to wake is a little rougher. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

When I was on the phone with Verizon I was told the are several updates coming to fix screen responsiveness and several other issues. I'm surprised the updates haven't been pushed yet.

Do yourself a favor and get a note 4. Not sexy but it works.

I don't want any more Samsung products. That's why I got this phone!

Well the G4 has just as many problems and no Qi so good luck. Note 4 is only newish phone with 2 radios so simultaneous talk and date work even in 3G

Do you also have knock pattern to unlock enabled? A prior thread mentioned something about how knock to wake and knock to unlock seem to interfere with each other. (Note that I don't actually have the phone... getting it tomorrow! ... I'm just addicted to reading these threads.)

Haha I think we are all addicted to the forums! No knock to unlock. Just the swipe.

Thanks for your help and input. I returned the Edge and got another G4 and this one is so much better than my last one!! So glad to be back on G4...I, personally like this phone more than S6, S6 Edge and Note 4!!

Is there a way to get the lockscreen to open using the home key instead of swiping? I never liked swiping.

The only thing that comes to mind to accomplish this is to turn off the lock screen completely. Then the home button will take you directly to your home screen.

Thanks but I can't do that. Need lockscreen to receive work email but lockscreen with pin needed only comes on when not connected to my gear 2. I guess I'll just have to swipe. No big deal. Cannot even explain why I don't like doing it..but I do not.

Yeah as far as I'm concerned is either one way or the other.
