Low battery crash issues?

Both my wife and I have Moto phones that are admittedly getting old: I have a Moto X Pure Edition and she has a G4 Plus. I love my phone but it has a variety of issues, and soon I'm going to need a new one. (My wife's G4 Plus definitely hasn't been as satisfactory as my XPE.)

Here's what I'm getting at: Having had Moto phones for a while now, a very frustrating issue we're both dealing with is the phone shutting itself off when the battery gets under 30% or so. Recently mine did it repeatedly even with 39% battery life. It happens to both of us as the phone tries to perform a task, not just randomly.

So... my question is has anyone experienced anything like this with a G6 yet?

I don't really want to deal with that issue ever again, but otherwise the G6 looks appealing. I'm not sure if it's an issue with all Moto phones or not.

Thanks!

id say its more of an issue with phones with depleted batteries. If you go tothe pure forum youll see some folks claiming that replacing their battery gave their pures new life. Then again if it sounds to good to be true then well....

Not sure if the g4s battery can be replaced or not but might be worth checking out if you dont want to spend $$$ on a new phone. About the g6..i think it hasnt been out long enough for any long term analysis of what components begin to show age.
