After 30 months of using my S20FE (my first Android phone and my first Samsung) I have finally realised that the way to get it to switch into Power Saving mode when the battery gets down to a low level is use the Sleep mode accessed from Mode in the quick drop down menu. This lets you set various kinds of trigger including the battery dropping below a set level and to take various actions including turning Power Saving on.
I have looked at the Power Saving setting before and wondered why it did not have an option built in to turn on when the level dropped down low. Seemed like a sensible way of doing it.
Now no longer need to fret about a recharging boost to make sure the battery makes it through the night as I normally like to recharge in the morning before leaving the house around lunchtime.
