I am trying to find a sub ?100 7" tablet that can be used on Googles Play Store. The tablet will mainly be used as a pocket sized note taker (with a suitable stylus) and I'll continue to use my iPad for customer presentations etc so the 7" needs to be decent quality but doesn't have to be to whizzy. I can only find one product, Cambridge Sciences ?89 Starpad 7 (confirmed by them that it suppoets Play) Can anyone recommend an alternative product?
Is it worth spending the extra on the Asus MeMo?

It's definitely worth spending extra on the Nexus 7. In the US, you can buy it for $199 (not sure how much it is in the UK), but it's pretty much the best 7" tablet and it's still at a competitive price.

Those cheap ching-a-ling tablets are toys. Just because the spec sheet says something doesn't mean it is true or consistent. The guy above is correct, buy a Nexus7 and you will be happy. If you wait a couple of months you may be able to get the current gen of the N7 for $149.
