Low notification volume

So, just got a one for vzw in blaze red. Seems like a nice phone ans pretty much ticked all my boxes. But after my second day at work I am having a huge issue. It can be loud where I work so I have a very distinctive, very loud notification sound. I transferred it over to the new phone but it is very hard to hear, even with it on my belt clip with the speaker facing out. But if I just play the sound it is significantly louder. I've checked under sounds and everything is turned up all the way. This affects a regular email account, a gmail account and texting. Any other places the sound could be turned down?

I noticed mine is on the quiet side as well. Not a deal breaker since I can still hear it, but surprised it's so low.

My G3 has much quieter ring, notification, and media volume than my wife's G3 does. They were both purchased at the same time. I haven't worried about it because I prefer a quieter ring and I seldom listen to media on the phone.
