I've been messing around with the Inspire and one of the issues I have with it is the notification and ringtones are all way too quiet. Then i noticed that while using the Zedge app some of the tones i downloaded on there were much louder, so i went a little further.

I downloaded the Stock android notifications and ringtones from xda developers ( a quick google search can find you download locations for all HTC android ringtones or stock android ringtones)... I put them on my sd card and then opened a few of them up in wavepad audio editor. I went to effects, and amplified the tones i wanted to use by 350% and low and behold, the default tones are much louder now. Give it a try for yourself, its not a perfect solution but for those of you who really cant hear the notifications, give it a shot

Hey, thanks for the tip! :D:)

has anybody tried the 'hearing aid' setting? that might amplify things a bit for those with issues.

yeah I tried that. Brought them up to 400 on the amplifier and its a tad better. Better than nothing i say

My solution was to Dremel a larger speaker hole. I have no complaints. (well, maybe it's too loud in the car)
Note, this will void all useless warranties.

Yeah Dremeling the speaker hole will def. up the volume but i personally wouldnt reccomend it, but if you are talented with a dremel, go for it. May be best to wait until after your 30 day return policy just in case something else goes wrong.
