Low Volume

Just picked up a US unlocked S8+ Exynos and damn the volume doesn't crank at all thru Play Music. Quality sounds ok but coming from a iPhone 7 plus this thing is quiet. How is this acceptable on a $800 flagship?

Edit: Thru the 3.5m jack with V-Moda M100s and the OEM buds.

Are you referring to sound through the speaker or through headphones?

Sounds like your having the same issue that I'm having. I am coming from an IP7 as well. Are you running it through Bluetooth headphones or speakers? If so there is a setting called media volume sync you can try which is in the Bluetooth settings on ur phone. I'm still trying to work with mine. For me in terms on clarity, there is a definite difference between music quality on my Spotify account and Google's music play service. They vocals are more distorted in the Google play music

I have the Snapdragon variant. Using OEM buds that came with it, volume gets plenty loud. Far louder than I'm comfortable with. Perhaps Exynos variant has a slightly weaker amp?
