LTE causing reboot?

Well I searched but did not find this issue.

From the moment VZW threw the switch on for LTE here in Salt Lake my TB has been constantly rebooting. Sometimes it would reboot so quickly I was not able to get into LTE On/Off to turn it off. I managed to turn LTE off and it stopped rebooting. Well it still has the occasional reboot issue but with LTE on it would not last maybe 2min after fully booting before it would reboot, and I mean over and over and over making it unusable.

Anyone seen this issue at all? This behavior is consistent with the stock rom as well as BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4 radio 2.5. Same exact issue with LTE.

So I think I will go back to stock when the TB update comes out and see if that fixes the issue. If not VZW will be sending me a another phone.

I have been on 4G since day 1 release of the phone) and no LTE doesn't cause the phone to re-boot. Thre is a lot of speculation and some good data already posted. For me it seems like the transition, or being on the edge of 4g 3g zones can cause issues. Regardless, hopefully the update tonight fixes everything and brings world peace.

Yeah I am not even close to a transition area and have tried in different locations, but as you said hopefully this upcoming update fixes it! I hope someone posts the update to the radio so I don't have to go back to stock.

Sorry, bud, but not everyone that experienced the rebooting are in LTE markets. I live in a non-LTE market, and I had the issue with the reboots/shut downs. MR2 fixed that for me. I suspect a faulty radio, which would explain why people in certain areas were experiencing the rebooting.

eHRPD is much better suspect. It is being deployed in 4G and 3G areas. It handles the transitions and multiple streams among all the bands, hence the eventual capability for VoLTE and the current ThunderBolt capability for 3G SVDO. Chrisy, of happy memory, started a long thread that has been discussing this for a while.

Ok, I know there have been reboot issues but did not see anything that the TBs were rebooting every 2 min making them unusable. I know it has something to do with LTE. I never had an issue until they flipped it on here in my area and immediately I had to download LTE on/off and tell it 3G only. Guess we will see I am downloading the leaked update that was just posted.
