After updating, I notice that the 4G LTE designation no longer shows on the top status bar. All I have is a signal bar triangle. Is that the same for everyone else? I know it is rare these days, but it would be nice to see I'm on 4G and not 3G. Not sure why this would be gone.

I actually love that less is showing up there. I like as little as possible. But I get your point. I really don't get why Pixel doesn't allow the status bar to simply be 100% customizable. Turn on and, most importantly to me, *off* anything that can go up there.

Mine shows LTE still

LTE shows on mine as long as WiFi is off. When WiFi is on, it just shows the signal triangle.

Yes, now I see t that. I'm at work now and have WiFi turned off and the LTE displays. Thanks to all who replied.

My T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro lets me customize the status bar in the display settings under icon manager. Maybe your next upgrade should be the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G. I was waiting for the 8 Pro 5G to upgrade, but now that I know that the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G is going to have the Samsung like hole punch cutout notch. I'm just going to upgrade to the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition when the 8 Pro 5G releases. That way it'll drop in price.

That's a pretty slim reason for upgrading to a new phone.
