LTE drops out and leaves only 4G..on galaxy s4, at&t network. Replaced sim card today, no change. I can change in and out of airplane mode, and on occasion LTE 4G is displayed..but temporarily. Also drops out all together, about 10-15 times a day. Get the circle with the line through it for almost exactly 1 minute, then the bars and 4G symbol are back and things are working fine again.. This problem(s) started a month or 2 after the lollipop update so I'm not sure that that is part of the equation here.. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already discussed this with AT&T?

Yes.. After the tech dept finished the work order on it they suggested that I download the "Mark the spot" app.. I know what that app is and what it's used for.. I don't have a problem with AT&T coverage, I have a problem with my phone losing connectivity a dozen times a day..and no LTE associated with the 4G..

Hmm, frustrating. Try wiping the cache partition, which can be a helpful general troubleshooting step: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744. If that doesn't help, try also booting into Safe Mode, in case some 3rd party app is causing that instability (steps are at the bottom of that link).

And don't forget that LTE = 4G :D

Not necessarily. Sometimes 4G means HSPA+, which is AT&T's (and T-Mobile's) "super-3G," or "pseudo-4G" if you will. So it's possible that 4G means HSPA+, while 4GLTE means LTE.
