LTE on by default?

Ya know i almost jumped on the 3d when it came to market and decided not to.

I stuck with my og and sitting here looking at my lte evo i could just kiss myself for holding out :)

I was also considering putting a 3rd phone on my plan (second is my daughters) after 1 year just so i could have yearly upgrades.

12 months x 19.99 = 239.88$ and i'd save near 350-400$ not having to buy at full price. So it'd be worth it and i'd have a back up device....

Back on topic, yes i was happy to see lte is not the power hog that wimax was :)

I've had the EVO4GLTE since May 24. All I can tell you about is my own experience. I'm on battery close to 16 hours every day and I'm a heavy user. It would only seem logical that leaving LTE turned on would use more battery. Since LTE hasn't been turned on here in Atlanta, I've experimented with turning off LTE for the entire day and leaving it on. Either way I have yet to deplete my battery before putting it on the charger for the night. Based on my experience, I don't bother shutting LTE off.

Battery life with my EVO OG and EVO 3D was dismal. My EVO4GLTE battery life is amazing. Your Mileage May Vary.

I'm with TraderGary on this one. Getting incredible battery life with heavy usage with lte left on. We'll see how the battery holds out once Sprint goes live with their lte network.
