LTE Version & Switching Carriers

If I buy T-Mo LTE version and at some point I want to switch carrier, would I be able to do this (considering eSIM Tech)?

Was it possible in the past with S3 Frontier?

I did some little bit of researching. Apparently, they can be unlocked but cannot switch carriers.

Will buy BT version.
