I have the Gear S3 LTE T-Mobile version paired with a LG V20. I am a bit confused as how the receiving calls functionality works.

Is there a setting that will ring both the phone and the watch if the watch is disconnected from the phone's bluetooth and WIFI? The reason I ask is if for some reason I am disconnected from the phone do I always have to remember to turn on Call Forwarding?

If I forget to turn on call forwarding I know it will connect to the Mobile nework but it will connect under the different number associated with the watch and most of my contacts do not have that number so I will end up missing calls.

Also, if I use Call Forwarding and my phone is connected is there a way to transfer call to handset because I could forget to turn off Call Forwarding?

Lst question - Is there a way to have my calls from the watch display my phone's caller ID?

Any help would be appreciated.

There's no way to receive calls on the watch at the same time as the phone without Bluetooth and without call forwarding you won't receive them on the watch.

CALL forwarding goes through the phone first and only transfers to the watch if you haven't answered on the phone or it was rejected from the phone.

As far as caller ID you should be able to see the name of the caller if you have your watch synced with your phone book.

"CALL forwarding goes through the phone first and only transfers to the watch if you haven't answered on the phone or it was rejected from the phone. "

That is the main issue I am having. When I have Call Forwarding turned on my phone does not ring at all. It goes straight to the watch. I do not have a chance to answer the phone first.

Thanks for your continued help.

That shouldn't happen. You may want to turn it off and then turn it back on. It is fairly quick to switch back and forth.

There's an auto call forwarding in the Gear app settings. It's supposed to automatically forward the call to your watch's # if you don't answer the phone. If you don't answer the watch, it'll go to your phone's voicemail. My problem is that by the time the call auto-forwards, it only rings once on the watch and then my phone's voicemail picks up. I need to talk to TMobile about lengthening the voicemail delay time, since they can't get their stuff together regarding their version of numbersync.

EDIT - Nevermind - I found a very helpful post in the other thread that has the short code to adjust the call forward time.

If your on att you can use number sync to get this experience. Or Google Voice and give out your GV number instead of your watch and phone number
