I tried myself but cant get it to install.

I attached the edited logo.bin file just remove the ".zip" file extension.

Using bootstrap. Says bad file or it gets stuck right off the bat and I have to pull the battery

I add the .bin file to logoreplacer.zip and use bootstrap to install zip from SD

Are u using 7zip to drop the new logo.bin file. I make the image to correct size and flip. Then run it in a hex editor and flip it back and delete some code to size it correctly and save as logo.bin. then open the logoreplacer zip with 7zip and drop the new logo in. Close and save. Drop on SD card boot recovery and install. I now use the boot logo replacement app. Just create the bin file and drop into app folder and select in app. Very easy.

got it to work but now the background is white

Too much was deleted in hex or the outline in the photo has white. Ill try to get it done. Or make a black image 480x182 and make your image a few smaller like 478x180 and drop in center.
