M10 question: Hangouts vs Messenger vs HTC Messaging app

For me Messenger is the best, even connects with my friends on Facebook so I'm always connected with my friends

Thanks all for the great replies, I decided in the end to stay with the HTC app. I tried all the others, and the HTC one is the best for my usage.

I tried my hardest to use the HTC messaging app. I went back to textra for the main reason that the native app always took forever in a group messaging. I do miss the theme aspect of HTC 10 messenger. I have tried the other 2 but always switch back to textra.

Another great thing about Textra is it allows you to only see mobile numbers when looking for a contact to text. That's probably my favorite feature!

As much as I like some other messaging apps for look and extra features it seems like stock always handles MMS and group messages the best.

I'm sticking with what HTC has until Allo.

I use the HTC SMS app but sometimes backspacing words takes a ridiculous amount of time and it lags behind. I've been thinking of switching to Hangouts. The only thing that gets me about that is the half-second longer it takes for opening the app. So basically, I'm switching to Hangouts, the time is nothing
Another thing I like about Hangouts is that you can quick reply.

i used Hangouts a while ago but the deal breaker was the ability to add multiple pictures to one conversation or the ability to edit them once you chose your picture. has that change on hangouts?

You can add multiple pictures. I'm not sure about the editing. I don't usually edit photos.

My LT discovered the on his S5 he can only include 10 addresses in a group text using the stock Samsung app. I haven't tried it on the htc app.
