So I just noticed when I pull down my notification window, the all access icon, Wi-Fi, service bars, battery bar and time are all burned in,but oddly only for a little while. If I turn my screen on and wait 5 minutes, it'll be nearly gone when I turn back on.

Anyone else reporting the same issue? I've heard my screen might be dying

Any insight would be great, especially given that this is my go to phone!!

This is fairly common on most any screen, LCD or AMOLED. Thankfully LCD's aren't as affected as AMOLED and will revert to normal when left off or doing other things that change pixels in the burn in area. Mine did the same thing too, but was never a permanent burn in.

OK well that's hopeful. It bothers me but not terribly. I've seen some nasty burn in on amoled panels and was worried about that.

Yep!! My LG V10 did that. I was watching a youtube video, in portrait orientation and replying to the comments. The bottom edge of the video burned a line into my screen, from ~10 minutes on 65% brightness. It was pretty distinct too, I mean I could easily see it once I rotated the phone to landscape full screen video.

Thankfully it went away. I didn't think it was possible to do that on an LCD display.

It is not Burn In, it is picture retention and all lcd panels including tv's have this. It is not permanent. There is a tool you can run that has a white bar that moves around the screen and lights all the pixels, which removes the retention.

Burn In is permanent and something completely different.
