Hey there,

first I have to apologize in advance for my bad english as I am a non native speaker. Anyway I'll try to explan what happend the best way I can.

There are several problems with my M8 I cannot solve. I had to deal with a frozen Htc starting screen and tried to fix it with fastboot and adb which didnt work either. Then I messed it up by following the "firmware flashing panic attacks" routine which I found at xda/htc-one-m8/development/ and it got even worse.
Hboot is showing me a screen with green letters, trying to load a .zip or a .nbh but doestn find anything. Then it is "loading the 0P6BIMG.zip" but after some seconds hboot just asks me to "press power to reboot" which leads to a reboot and still the same frozen htc logo.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

I am not sure what could be done at this point since ADB and Fastboot are no longer in hand. Which network are you on? AT&T, Verizon, etc.? Maybe we can find a RUU for you but I am not sure.

I am situated in Germany. I got my phone from a brand cald 1&1 which is using the vodafone network.

What try and do with adb/fastboot to fix it being hung up on the boot screen? What did you do before that that made it hang? How did the 0P6BIMG get on your ext. sdcard, what were you trying to flash. We need to know exactly what you did or tried to do before we can help. Can you post a link to the thread over at XDA

I flashed ViperOneM8 with CWM which worked fine, but afterwards Wifi didnt worked. So I followed their instructions: "Go back to complete stock, grab HTC’s OTA, come back to viper. (For S-ON users) " I checked the version and the cid via fastboot getvar version main and fastboot oem readcid to find the right backup and recovery. Flashing the backup didnt work, The phone booted and I got stuck with the boot screen.

Switching from the bootloader to recovery didnt work, I always ended up at the bootscreen. So I tried fastboot.
This is what happend there trying to flash the backup: Failed.PNG

I head another Idea. From the bootloader I was running factory reset, which installed ViperOneM8 3.1.0. This version didnt work well. Black homescreen, no working home or back button, no apps. But I could go to the venom tweeks via der statusbar.
So I installed TWRP via adb und configured double tap homebotton on tweeks to launch twrp. There I tried to flash the Backup but it didnt boot to recovery, still the same htc bootscreen.

I asked for some help in german forums, but nobody had a clue. Maybe I should have asked you guys first, because I think I completely messed It up afterwards. I followed the steps in the link you posted ( I am not allowed to post links), so it was me putting the 0P6BIMG on the ext sdcard....

Edit: I am s-on

I had a similar problem on my phone. Remove the SD card and power up the phone. Once it's pwered on, reinstall your SD card. Use a file manager and remove the 06Bimg file from the root of the sd card. You should be able to reboot into recovery/abd/fastboot normally after that. So long as the file is on the root of your sd card, the phone will continue to try and flash it each time to enter the bootloader (HBOOT). Hope that helps.
