So aside from the automatic camera most people use, this post is dedicated to professional / Amateur photographers who understand the meaning of a retouch.

I left my DSLR professional gear home and decided to take the M9 for a serious photo walk in Amsterdam, well I have to admit, this camera is one of the best ever included in a mobile phone. Here is an example of what you can get "if you know your way around it."

PS : All photos were shot using HTC M9 and edited on mobile phone using Pixler / Snapseed.. will keep the thread updated with more photos .

Nice shots. Any special settings you use and did you use the raw feature?

^^^^This. I would really like to learn more about what how to use manual mode and understand why I'm doing it. (Others have posted some settings that usually give better results than auto, but I don't really know why.)

Thank! no not really, HDR mood is really great in different exposure conditions tho, when you have low/ High light distribution.

hello my friend, i'll try to keep it simple, it is all about lights. so here are the universal laws :

Shutter speed: + = More light - = less light

ISO : + = more lights and more distortion. - = less light and less distortion. so you need to choose your priorities,

F/Stop or lens aperture : The wider the lens the more it will allow lights in and the opposite is correct.

with some creativity and practice you will sure master these techniques then move on your own and get out of the box :)

These are incredible photos... Easily as good as any I've ever taken with any of my EOSs over the years... And this is in one trip shooting??

How does it do in tighter scenes? I will have to play with it. I won't even ask abort macros, as that is obviously a technical limitation.

Thank you so much great honor , I shoot with 7D and 24-70mm as well, so this time I decided to give it a run, yes one visit.

Again thank you for your kind words

Great composition on your shots. I'm guessing you learned on film when shots were expensive, so you set them up properly the first try or two... Either that, or you took a million shots on this shoot to get so many good ones?
