Macbook Terminal will not recognize my Thunderbolt

Hey guys, i am trying to root my HTC Thunderbolt, and i have ran into a major problem.
When i open Terminal on my Mac and type in the necessary codes, it cannot find my device.
I have watched videos of others successfully root, it just will not work for me.
Any tips/advise? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to AC.. theres a terminal command that you can enter if your phones not being recognized.. I ran into the same problem, i just dont remember what the command was by heart. Stop by the Thunderbolt Rooting & Hack forum and check out the "How to root your Thunderbolt Mac version" thread. I'll see if i can find the command for you in the mean time..enjoy the forums.

im sorry to be a pain, but i cant find the command! i have checked Cory Streater's how to for mac and did not get any luck:/ can you help me allitle more?

Yea... It was a while ago and I can't find it either. I don't want to turn the introductions into a help thread but did you download HTC Sync for your phone?

If you're still having trouble, post your question in the Thunderbolt rooting thread and somebody who knows ADB better then me will help you out. It could be that you just missed something and im not sure what you did and didn't do so far.

Edit: nevermind .. htc sync is only for pc.
