Magnetic 4 pin charger??

So I noted on one side of Nexus 7, there is what looks like to be a 4 pin connection? I think I read somewhere something about a magnetic charger? True? I googled this and could not find any info. A magnetic charger, if true, would save wear n tear on the usb port.

Will probably be used for a dock station that also chargers the tablet. Hopefully they bring it out soon I would love to have one that has it sitting in landscape mode.

There's a specific dock that works on those pins but I can't remember the name. It was brought up in this forum a few weeks ago. I thought the pins were for data but I could be wrong as I was just assuming (ass-u-me.)

Count me in! I would luv to see a charging dock / cradle as plugging in the USB cable is so old school. Any news on this? I did some google search and found nothing... at least not for the N7.

I've seen rumors and other news about the dock floating around. Google is supposed to release it on their "Google Play" marketplace, but it's not out yet. I'm sorry I can't remember when it's going to be available.

Yes, they're called pogo pins. Yes, they're used for docks. The Galaxy Nexus has the same setup. I would expect a landscape dock out sometime that would allow you to view video, etc while in the dock. I, personally, will turn mine into a monster alarm clock on my nightstand .

Oh NO! Not the Google play store hopefully some 3rd party vendors carry it too. I am not buying anything from the play stores devices/accessories anytime soon.
