To those with the issues of polling/push, I can't say for sure. However, the new approach in 1.35 changes how I talk t the server, so I imagine it will be fixed (or you will see a different issue

I am shooting for the release Sunday and as such, I am starting to cut some things out, but whatever I cut out will probably go in an interim release the following weekend.

The "delete from phone, but not server" thing is my biggest issue with mail apps. Could do it on my old BlackBerry, but not an option in the native gmail app. K-9 was an alternative because it had this feature, but have been reading your threads and your responsiveness to requests and tweaks. I've been running MailDroid in the background to play with its interactions, settings, etc.

Can't wait for (fingers crossed) the release that includes the leave on server option.

This is done for the release already. This feature will be in as an option per account.

If I understand correctly, you mean hide/show image content or do you mean all html? I did this for the hide/show image (you can find a global setting as well as in the mail you can click menu --> show images). If you mean all HTML, I need to think about that. I do like the idea of 'show content from this address'.

edit *** For the life of me how do i set the led flashing for K-9 and maildroid. Have been running both testing them and some how one is set to pink or purple for my gmail and I can't get it changed.. aghhhhhh. is there a default email setting on the droid x for led flash?

I came to post a thread about needing a .pps viewer and saw this thread. I told the developer I would give feedback in a couple of days. So let me say kudos for a great app and for his support.
I get my emails faster then on my outlook express on my computer set up with verizon. I know this because I was sitting there and email came to the phone. About 3-5 minutes later my outlook has it. My computer is set to get mail instantly.
Now the only thing I am having problems with is sometimes jpeg pictures are not showing. I have the Oi-file app installed, it has a folder set saying maildroid. Yet the attachment will not show. On the regular mail app I am able to just press the attachment and it is there. Understand I just might be doing something wrong cause some email I am able to get pictures.
I am not sure if the app doesn't support this, but if I want to forward an email to someone. I don't see a way of doing it, the only thing I can figure out is save the mail to the sd card. Then go to contacts and choose to compose an email. Then attach it from where I saved it on the sd card.
Also like I said are there any free apps that allow me to open pps files. I had documents to go on my bold, but I can't load the same one onto the captivate.

Hello, Been reading this thread and I'm trying maildroid now and I'm really liking it. The only thing I miss from K9 is being able to look at the notification bar when a message comes in and seeing the subject of the email. Is there a way to set this in maildroid? If not are there any plans to add this feature? I really like the ability to glance quickly at the notification bar when an email comes in and see if it is something that requires my immediate attention or just something that I can get to later.

Any word on when we can expect the 1.35 update? I'm using 1.32 now, but don't want to make any further suggestions until I get a chance to play with 1.35 since it is supposed to be a relatively major update.

Same here this program has been working great, all I really would like is a way to send a email to someone from my address book.

im now using maildroid bc i was having issues with k9 erasing my accounts, and it was taking up way too much storage. in like it, but sometimes i have issues with the notification icon staying in the bar even when i check the email in the account. it only happens with one hotmail account.

also, it would be nice to be able to customize how often u want it to poll the email, and have individual account customization for colors and settings, etc.

I had an issue with astro. You can use astro to upload and attach, but not download yet :-(

Yes, I a still alive and kicking ;-)

Version 1.35 has been a long time coming and I ask you to wait just a drop longer as I fix the remaining 2 bugs on my list. I unfortunately, had to cut out some features as this just got way to big to handle and test. However, those features should go out in another week as they are basically done. Close to 40% of the code was re-written to take into account the future of MD. I pushed off this re-write for so long, but because of the requests coming in, I needed to do it and that is what it took so long.

For anyone who is interested in the "pdf bug", it should be fixed.

I had an issue with astro. You can use astro to upload and attach, but not download yet :-(

its not that big of a deal....i dl'd o/i and its fine. maybe ill just dump astro in place of o/i anyway. they are both very similar.

1.35 is live. I removed some features as I said, but most are there and the ones removed will be here within a week or so.

1. Delete from phone only
2. MAJOR speed changes
3. PDF bug fix
4. Filter in your email
5. Sleep Mode option
6. Bunch of bug fixes
7. Count of unread mail

What is coming? Many things all of you have asked for..just sit tight.

i just installed 1.35 and it crashes. It's just not working on my Captivate.

Same thing here. Just installed the update on my Incredible and I am getting a force close error.
