As far as storage goes I also worried about it and have had no issues. I currently have 10 GB free with photos and all of my normal apps. What is actually really cool is the built in storage and optimizing features. In the storage menu you can actually do a disk clean-up of sorts and delete some of the HTC scenes, app caches, and unused files to really clear up some space! Battery is also far exceeding my expectation and I am a very heavy user.
